The story

Every detail, considered.

The staircase is the project. Everything else in the house is arranged so that its sweep is the first and last thing you register. The white marble surfaces exist partly to give it a ground to be seen against.

Black fixtures provide the punctuation. Crystal lighting handles the moments that want drama, and crisp recessed light handles everything that does not, which is most of it.
